Larkfield expanded rapidly since the M20 motorway was constructed in the 1970s with new housing developments being built. In 1961, the “Tree” and “Bird” estates, where the majority of the roads are named after species of trees and birds respectively were developed and similarly in Lunsford Park just north of the M20, the roads are named after famous poets.

Leybourne Lakes Country Park opened in 2004 and was created from disused gravel pits that have been flooded and landscaped to make fishing and wildlife lakes.

Locally, the areas boasts and abundance of amenities ranging from Supermarkets, Schools and Restaurants. In addition, the area is well positioned to take full advantage of superb travel links. With a rail station, ease of access to the M20 motorway and being just minutes from the Major Town of Maidstone, you really do not want for anything.
